About Me

Hey! I’m Sarah. I am pursuing a Graduate Certificate at the University of West Florida with a goal to pivot out of the education field and into a more technical role using GIS. I graduated from the University of Tampa in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. I was first introduced to GIS in a course I took during my undergrad called GIS for the Social Sciences. Since I learned about GIS, I was always interested in advancing my skills and I am very excited to be taking this step at UWF! My husband is in the Marine Corps and we recently moved to Beaufort, SC because of our new duty station at Parris Island. I will be starting a position as a GIS Intern in July under Chatham County’s Engineering Department in the Savannah, Georgia office. You will see my blog posts about my internship experiences soon! Thank you for visiting my blog and reading about what I’m working on! Feel free to comment on my posts and provide feedback.
