This lab was my first experience using ERDAS Imagine! This map is a subset image of a land cover classification image of a forested area in Washington State. Before opening ERDAS, I went through calculating EMR properties as a way to strengthen my understanding of the properties and how they relate to one another. Then, the lab instructions walked us through the basics tools of ERDAS: importing an image, changing raster options, different ways to pan or zoom, and adding multiple viewers. I took a smaller subset portion of the image and saved it as a new layer using the Inquire Box tool. Then, I explored the ERDAS version of an attribute table and added an Area field to calculate the area in hectares of each classification. Finally, I imported the .img file into ArcGIS Pro and created the layout shown above.
